Welcome! This blog was made to showcase the wonderful bunnies that I used to foster with my boyfriend Jack in Leeds. Now we have our own bunnies to look after; Bonnie and Winnie, so the blog will be about them and other bunny related stuff.

A visit from Auntie Jemma

My very good friend Jemma popped around this evening for a good old catch up and to meet the Mouses!
She always manages to get some good photos of our buns, and she has given me permission to share them all with you so I hope you like them!

These guys are really funny about laminate flooring so we have blankets and rugs everywhere. I've just had to make a walkway to the bedroom so they can have a good runaround on the carpet! Sillies!

Mr & Mrs Mouse!

Bella went off to meet her new Husbun yesterday so now we have two adorable new bunnies, Mr and Mrs Mouse!

The quote 'It's so fluffy I'm gonna die' by Agnes from Despicable Me springs to mind when you first see Mr. Mouse...

He likes a headrub which is good. Because we think he is partly an angora bunny, he needs daily grooming. He does manage to get lots of bits of hay stuck in his hair. I think it is safe to call it hair rather than fur for him!

Mrs. Mouse is so dainty looking and feminine. She's absolutely gorgeous! When she eats she takes the food very gently like a proper lady; all of our other female bunnies have scoffed their food as quickly as possible! Mrs. Mouse is very demanding of headrubs, which is not a problem here!!

I can see myself falling in love with these two very quickly...

Mr mouse looks like a guinea pig with big ears

Jack has gone to visit his family tonight, so I am here scoffing my face with a peanut butter bunny whilst I work/procrastinate by blogging (Jack is allergic to peanuts so i'm definitely making up for not usually eating peanuts)!!!

Here are my last photos of our lovely giant Bella. Her new owner is very lucky to have her!

Other News

Firstly, Mel has been reserved with her brother Chandler, which is great news! I hope they will be happy in their new home.

This weekend I went home to celebrate my little bros birthday. It was a lovely trip and I ended up getting some more bunny goodies.
My bro and mum had bought me what they described as 'the best breakfast ever'...

In Tesco there are some bunny socks on offer, 2 pairs for £2. Naturally I just got two of the same pair as there was only one bunny design haha. I haven't taken a photo so here is the link!

The local garden center had some bunny cruets...irresistible at £.6.99!

They also had the most beautiful and interesting looking rabbit I have ever seen. It was a rex, but as you can see has some incredible markings. I don't agree with buying rabbits but if I could I think I would have, a bunny like that doesn't come along often. My mum doesn't like rabbits usually and I actually had to pull her away from this gorgeous bun!

Also, you probably don't know but I'm crazy for cats, so it was great to see my babies Sugar and Spice at home. I feel like they deserve a mention. Here they are!

Bella News

We have had such a great time with Bella over the last week or so! She's soooo cheeky but also very chilled. Here is what she has been up to this week:
  • Stealing packets of treats and running down the hallway with them, leaving a trail behind her.
  • Knocking over glasses of water...on purpose!
  • Pulling a box of chocolates onto the floor and then getting ansy when we wouldn't let her at them!
  • She won't play with her toys, but she will do whatever she can to play with litter - she will pull everything in the bin out piece by piece. Messing with the recycling.
  • Eaten some of Jacks wellies
  • Fell off of the bed
But she's super cute. She loves getting a good grooming and lounging about. She wobbles in the most adorable way when she runs.

When she stands up on her back legs, her feet move, making it look like she is rocking on them impatiently: it's really funny.

We are very happy to say that she has been reserved; hopefully she will bond well with her new husbun and be very happy! We will miss her lots when she finally leaves us.

Scouring the recycling pile for any more goodies...

The last 2 weeks in bunnies

So it has been a while since the last post so a lot has happened!
Firstly, Cadburys have this out at the moment:

Yum!

Secondly, my bunny watch finally came!

Thirdly, we spent a lot of money at Ikea. We bought this dolls bed which is perfect size for bunnies and also this broccoli teddy as it was too cute...our excuse is that it is for the bunnies. We have now put our 18 inch oval vet bed on the bed as it is pretty much perfect in size for it, and is nice and cuddly.

So now for important news. Unfortunately we were struggling to house train Bertie, and in a rented flat that becomes a problem. We are lucky that we just foster buns and have the option to swap rabbits, but it is important that this usually is not an excuse to get rid of a rabbit and they are a ten year commitment. We feel really bad about having to swap him. Obviously if he was our actual bunny we would have just got an outdoor set-up. The main reason we foster is because at current our circumstances are not such that we could make allowances for a bunny in the way we need to and adapt to our bunnies needs.

He's the most friendly bunny we have ever had and if he could wee in the right place he would love to be a house bunny and get lots of cuddles. However if you didn't have an indoor set-up where big wee accidents was an issue, he would enjoy being outside (he loves to munch on grass) with a little wifey. He would still want lots of head rubs though!

Here are some of the final pictures we have of him:
Bertie likes rose because it matches his eyes

We took him outside for a run but all he did was eat grass for 2 hours...

Pleasssssse can I have some pudding?!

And now for our new bunny annoucement...BELLA!

Bella is a young (born June 2013)  French Lop who weighed 6 kg when she first arrived at Camp Nibble. She has lost a lot of weight but to be mean, she's still a bit of a fatty so we have her on a diet!

Her 'real' name is Cowbella which personally I think is horrible (even if that is a childrens character) so we have been calling her Bella/Belly/Bell.

She's amazing!! So far I cannot find anything wrong with her. She eats her hay, she's very well litter trained, she likes nose rubs, she's fairly friendly, she's relaxed and she has her rushing-around-like-a-lunatic moments. And that's within 24 hours of being here. What more could you want?! I can't wait to see what she's like when she has settled in!

Because of her size we have set her up in the bedroom for now, using the pen differently from normal. When we can trust her we think we might have her out 24/7.
Here she is:
